Tymen Geurts and Ton De Kruyf are the producers behind the Dutch based label
“Dos Palomas Negras”, together they have been putting out tracks since the early ‘90’s.
In 2002, their first project as “Dos Palomas Negras” titled “The night is on the run” was included on several leading compilations like MTV Ibiza and was used for the Schwarzkopf TV commercial.
Their main goal to be independent resulted in establishing their own record label “Dos Palomas Negras” in 2006, and the first offshoot was “Numero uno (Dpn001)” which was played by several Dutch jocks during that long hot summer.
April 2007 saw the release of a more dance floor orientated track under the disguise as “T&T - Shake (Dpn002)” which included the original and spot on remixes by young Dutch bred & born remixers Bryan Dalton & 2 Nefuse. The track immediately got the attention of dj’s like Ericke, Silverius, Jeroenski and during its first 3 weeks of vinyl only release reached #7 in the Dutch Mega Dance Charts. “Shake” was also nominated #1 in the Dance Tunes Top 20 Download chart and was used as the backing track for the
Liga Fruit Kick TV commercial on Dutch television.
Tymen and Ton’s next effort as Dos Palomas Negras titled “Calypsos” got the attention of Roy Reeb A&R manager of News’ who signed the track to his Radikal Rhythm label and released it on the 30th April 2007, remixes were made by Dutch talent Soul Conspiracy and Dj Raymundo.
Their latest production as Dos Palomas Negras “Don’t wanna go home (Dpn003)” which was released in July 2007 got played by national and international dj’s and was compiled by Hed Kandi on their Hed Kandi The Mix 2008!
January 2008 saw the release of Dutch producer/dj “Alex Romano & Mc Beyond – Madnezz(Dpn004)” which was picked up by diverse dj’s as Joey Youngman (Usa) who charted it #1 in his January Traxsource Top 10, Ericke (Holland), Dj Marcella (Holland), Gianlucca Motta (Italy), Dj Andy Daniels (Uk) and many more.
Next release will be “Baggi Begovic – Big Difference (Dpn005)” and is remixed by Groovenatics, Skitzofrenix & Franky Rizardo and Ton & Tymen themselves.
Growing slowly but confidently the duo believes that quality always surpasses quantity and intend to be Dos Palomas Negras as record label to constantly grow within 2008 and many years to come.
